The Dosetec delivery consisted of a big bag (FIBC) and a small component dosing systems, and a dosing control system for resins and liquid additives.

KWH-Mirka manufactures coated abrasives, among other things, in Jepua and in Oravais on the Finnish west coast. Over 90% of production is exported and KWH Mirka products are sold in more than 70 countries all over the world.

The Dosetec delivery consisted of a big bag (FIBC) and a small component dosing systems, and a dosing control system for resins and liquid additives. The control is done using Omron PLC. Accurate dosing is vital in manufacturing glue to achieve durability and right thickness of the glue layer. The resin and the liquid additives are dosed by pumping them in the glue mixer. Dosing is controlled by mixer weighing. Powder materials are dosed from the big bag stations as well as from the small component stations to a hopper scale by vacuum conveying. From the hopper scale the weighed batch is discharged to a mixer with a screw conveyor.
