A new small component dosing system was supplied to Solbrød Bakery at the beginning of 2004. At the same time the control system of flour dosing was renovated.
OPUS products, based on fat, are among the products that are dosed from the small component dosing station. In order not to turn into “fatty dough” the products require gentle processing on one hand, and agitator, on the other hand, so that the product can be discharged out of the storage bin.
The storage bins for small components are supported on the load cells. Dosing of small components is done with loss-in-weight principle. Small components are conveyed to flour scale by vacuum conveying.
By minimizing the free fall or after-flow, optimum accuracy in dosing can be achieved. Control system is carried out by Siemens PLC. The dosing is controlled by a touch panel next to the flour scale. Automatic dosing and maintenance drive are operated via the touch panel.
